At the same time, the indexing service, which helps improve the search speed, may take a lot of system resources. On the other hand, Everything is different from the Windows search utility, as it allows you to look for files and folders in real time, without even using an indexing service.

After installing and launching the program, the user will be presented with a simple and intuitive interface, in which he will only need to type the name of the file or folder he is looking for. As the user types, all the files and folders which correspond to the search string will be displayed in real-time. After the user has found the desired files and folders, he can export the search results to a regular text file, for future analysis.

A feature which makes Everything different from any other search utility is the HTTP and FTP built-in servers, which allow you to access your files and folders from any Internet location, offering you the same search functionality just like using the actual application. Unfortunately, the configuration window which corresponds to these features may pose problems to inexperienced computer users, as some features may be more difficult to understand.
